Construction Conditions
Base Surface Requirements
The concrete base surface should be cleaned, repaired flat, and polished to a certain roughness. Ensure that the concrete curing is completed, the strength reaches C25 or above, and the moisture content is less than 8%. After processing the base surface, the next process should be carried out as soon as possible.
Environmental Temperature & Humidity Requirements
The construction environment temperature should be between 5~35 ℃, and the base surface temperature should be at least 5 ℃ higher than the air dew point temperature. The humidity range should be between 30% and 80%.
Ventilation Conditions
Ventilation should be maintained during construction, but construction should not be carried out when there is strong wind.
Painting Methods and Requirements
Mixing Ratio
Mix component B of the coating evenly before use. A : B = 1 : 1 (volume ratio)
Application Instructions
Professional construction teams must use professional spraying equipment for construction, and the material temperature during spraying should be controlled between 50~80 ℃. In general, the next process can be carried out after 12 hours of painting. If the construction interval exceeds 24 hours, a layer of interface agent needs to be applied before construction can proceed. If encountering adverse weather such as rain after coating, a layer of interface agent must be applied before proceeding to the next process. Under normal circumstances, the paint film should be cured for at least 7 days after completion of painting to ensure the best performance of the paint film.
Suggested Use QTY
- 1.2 kg/mm/m²
- Waterproof national standard thickness 1.5 mm — single square meter dosage: 1.8 kg
- Anti-corrosion national standard thickness 2.0 mm — dosage: 2.4 kg
Construction Steps
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q
What is the mixing ratio of SPUA II polyurea coating?
The mixing ratio of SPUA II polyurea coating is A : B = 1 : 1 by volume. Component B should be mixed evenly before use to ensure optimal performance.
Q
How long does SPUA II polyurea take to cure after application?
The gel time is ≤20 seconds. In general, the next process can be carried out after 12 hours of painting. The paint film should be fully cured for at least 7 days after completion of painting to ensure best performance.
Q
What are the environmental conditions required for applying SPUA II polyurea?
The construction environment temperature should be between 5–35 ℃. The base surface temperature should be at least 5 ℃ higher than the air dew point temperature. Relative humidity should be maintained between 30% and 80%. Adequate ventilation is required, but construction should be avoided during strong winds.
Q
What is the recommended dosage of SPUA II polyurea per square meter?
The standard dosage is 1.2 kg/mm/m². For waterproofing applications at the national standard thickness of 1.5 mm, the dosage is 1.8 kg/m². For anti-corrosion applications at 2.0 mm thickness, the dosage is 2.4 kg/m².
Q
Is SPUA II polyurea resistant to chemicals and extreme conditions?
Yes. SPUA II polyurea shows no change after immersion in 20% NaOH solution for 7 days (alkali resistance), after 8 hours in boiling water (water resistance), and after immersion in 10% HCL solution for 7 days (acid resistance). It is highly suitable for demanding waterproof and corrosion-resistant applications.
Q
What should be done if the construction interval exceeds 24 hours or it rains after coating?
If the construction interval exceeds 24 hours, a layer of interface agent must be applied before continuing construction. Similarly, if adverse weather such as rain occurs after coating, a layer of interface agent must be applied before proceeding to the next process to ensure proper adhesion.
