    Construction Conditions
    • 1 Base Surface Requirements: The concrete base surface should be cleaned, repaired flat, and polished to a certain roughness. Ensure that the concrete curing is completed, the strength reaches C25 or above, and the moisture content is less than 8%. After processing the base surface, the next process should be carried out as soon as possible.
    • 2 Environmental Temperature & Humidity: The environmental temperature at the construction site should be above 5 ℃, and construction can only be carried out when the relative humidity is less than 85%.
    • 3 Ventilation Conditions: Ventilation should be maintained during construction.
    Operation Methods and Requirements
    • 1 Mixing Ratio A:B = 1:1 (mass ratio) — No solvent is allowed to be added. Before use, pour component B into a mixing bucket and add the same mass of component A by electronic weighing. Stir thoroughly for 2–3 minutes to prevent uneven mixing at the bottom of the bucket, which could result in local non-solidification of the floor. The prepared polyurea coating should be used up within 15 minutes.
    • 2 During construction, first apply solvent-free epoxy anti-corrosion sealing primer. After the primer is completely cured, polish the area to ensure inter-layer adhesion. Note: polishing floating dust must be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.
    • 3 After cleaning and polishing the floating dust, use solvent-free polyurea intermediate coating combination material mixed evenly in proportion. Pour this combination material onto the floor and scrape it evenly with a trowel (3mm or 5mm trowel can be selected according to thickness requirements). After 24 hours of curing, the next process can proceed. If the construction interval exceeds 48 hours, a layer of interface agent needs to be applied before proceeding.
    • 4 After curing, if encountering adverse weather such as rain, a layer of interface agent must be applied before proceeding to the next process.
    • 5 Under normal circumstances, the coating film should be cured for at least 7 days after completion of painting to ensure optimal performance of the paint film.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q What is the mixing ratio of the two-component cold polyurea (YP683/YP685)?
The mixing ratio of component A to component B is 1:1 by mass. No solvents should be added. Components must be weighed electronically and stirred thoroughly for 2–3 minutes before use. The prepared mixture must be used within 15 minutes.
Q How long does the cold polyurea coating take to dry and fully cure?
The surface becomes dry in under 4 hours, and full drying is achieved within 24 hours. For optimal paint film performance, the coating should be cured for at least 7 days after the final coat is applied.
Q What are the base surface requirements before applying the coating?
The concrete base surface must be cleaned, repaired, and polished to an appropriate roughness. The concrete strength should reach C25 or above, and the moisture content must be below 8%. Proceed to the next step as soon as possible after surface preparation.
Q Is this polyurea coating environmentally friendly?
Yes. The YP683/YP685 cold polyurea coating is 100% solid content with zero VOCs (volatile organic compounds). It is free from solvents and heavy metals, making it a safe and eco-friendly choice for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Q What is the recommended coverage rate and thickness for waterproofing applications?
The coverage rate is 1.2 kg per mm per m². For waterproofing to national standard, a thickness of 1.5 mm is required, consuming approximately 1.8 kg per m². For anti-corrosion applications, the standard thickness is 2.0 mm, requiring approximately 2.4 kg per m².
Q What are the environmental conditions required during construction?
The ambient temperature at the construction site must be above 5 ℃, and the relative humidity must be below 85%. Adequate ventilation must be maintained throughout the construction process. If the construction interval exceeds 48 hours or adverse weather such as rain occurs, an interface agent must be applied before proceeding.
