Construction Conditions
- 1 Base surface requirements: The concrete base surface should be cleaned, repaired flat, and polished to a certain roughness. Ensure that the concrete curing is completed, the strength reaches C25 or above, and the moisture content is less than 8%. After processing the base surface, the next process should be carried out as soon as possible.
- 2 Environmental temperature and humidity requirements: The environmental temperature at the construction site should be above 5℃, and construction can only be carried out when the relative humidity is less than 85%.
- 3 Ventilation conditions: Ventilation should be maintained during construction.
Operation Methods and Requirements
- a Select materials.
- b Recommended ratio of single square dosage: ≥ 0.9 kg glue, 1 ~ 1.1 kg 0.5–2mm size granules, 0.3 ~ 0.4 kg rubber powder, 0.06 kg color paste.
- c The granule size is recommended at 0.5–2mm. When the glue temperature is low in winter, the viscosity problem is solved by heating the glue to ensure the covering and bond strength. First, fully stir the glue and color paste evenly, then add granules and red rubber powder and fully stir evenly. Combined with the site situation, an appropriate amount of environmental protection diluent may be added to adjust the construction viscosity — do not adjust too thin, to prevent the material from penetrating into the particles and excessive atomization when spraying.
- d After mixing evenly, spray once in both directions.
Suggested Use Quantity
📐 Single square meter dosage ≥ 1.3 kg
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q
What is the curing method of this polyurethane PU binder?
This polyurethane PU binder is cured at room temperature, requiring no special heating equipment. At 25℃, the surface drying time is 6–12 hours and full solidification is achieved within 24–48 hours.
Q
What are the minimum base surface requirements before applying the PU binder?
The concrete base surface must be cleaned, repaired, and polished to a certain roughness. Concrete strength should reach C25 or above and the moisture content must be less than 8%. The next construction step should be carried out as soon as possible after base surface preparation.
Q
What environmental conditions are required during construction?
The construction site temperature should be above 5℃ and the relative humidity should be less than 85%. Adequate ventilation must be maintained throughout the construction process.
Q
What is the recommended dosage ratio per square meter?
The recommended single square meter dosage is ≥ 0.9 kg glue, 1–1.1 kg of 0.5–2mm EPDM granules, 0.3–0.4 kg rubber powder, and 0.06 kg color paste. The total binder usage per square meter should be ≥ 1.3 kg.
Q
What are the main application areas for this PU binder?
This PU binder is widely used in floor systems including color sand floors, marble floors, and road surface color change projects. Suitable venues include laboratories, pharmaceutical factories, parking lots, subway stations, supermarkets, warehouses, and heavy-load industrial plants.
Q
How should the PU binder be stored and what are the packaging specifications?
The PU binder is packaged in 200 kg drums. It should be stored in sealed containers in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated environment, away from direct sunlight, rain, and any sources of fire or ignition.
