    Construction Conditions
    • 1 Base Surface Requirements: The concrete base surface should be cleaned, repaired flat, and polished to a certain roughness. Ensure that the concrete curing is completed, the strength reaches C25 or above, and the moisture content is less than 8%. After processing the base surface, the next process should be carried out as soon as possible.
    • 2 Environmental Temperature & Humidity: The environmental temperature at the construction site should be above 5℃, and construction can only be carried out when the relative humidity is less than 85%.
    • 3 Ventilation Conditions: Ventilation should be maintained during construction.
    Operation Methods and Requirements
    • a. Select materials.
    • b. Recommended ratio of single square dosage: ≥ 0.9 kg glue, 1 ~ 1.1 kg 0.5–2mm size granules, 0.3 ~ 0.4 kg rubber powder, 0.06 kg color paste.
    • c. The granules size is recommended at 0.5–2mm. When the glue temperature is low in winter, the viscosity problem is solved by heating the glue to ensure the covering and bond strength. First, the glue and color paste should be fully stirred evenly, and then add granules and red rubber powder and fully stir evenly. Combined with the site situation, an appropriate amount of environmental protection diluent can be added to adjust the construction viscosity — it cannot be adjusted too thin, to prevent the material from penetrating into the particles and excessive atomization when spraying, resulting in insufficient slurry packaging on the granules surface in the future.
    • d. After mixing evenly, spray once in both directions.
    Suggested Use Quantity
📐 Single square meter dosage ≥ 1.3 kg
    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q What is Polyurethane (PU) Binder and what is it used for?
Polyurethane (PU) Binder is a single-component, room-temperature-curing adhesive used to bond rubber granules (such as EPDM) for sports surfaces, playgrounds, running tracks, parking lots, and industrial flooring. It provides excellent adhesion, flexibility, and durability.
Q What is the recommended dosage per square meter?
The recommended single square meter dosage is ≥ 1.3 kg total. The breakdown includes ≥ 0.9 kg of glue, 1 ~ 1.1 kg of 0.5–2mm granules, 0.3 ~ 0.4 kg of rubber powder, and 0.06 kg of color paste.
Q How long does the PU Binder take to cure at room temperature?
At 25℃, the surface drying time is 6–12 hours, and full solidification is achieved within 24–48 hours. The operation time (pot life) is 60–90 minutes, allowing sufficient time for mixing and application.
Q What are the base surface requirements before applying PU Binder?
The concrete base must be clean, flat, and polished to adequate roughness. The concrete should have a minimum strength of C25, with moisture content below 8%. It is recommended to proceed to the next construction step as soon as possible after surface preparation.
Q What are the environmental conditions required for construction?
Construction should be carried out when the ambient temperature is above 5℃ and the relative humidity is below 85%. Adequate ventilation must be maintained throughout the construction process to ensure safety and proper curing.
Q How should PU Binder be stored, and what is the packaging?
PU Binder is packaged in 200 kg drums. It should be stored in a sealed container in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, rain, and any sources of ignition. Proper sealed storage ensures product quality and shelf life.
